A little bit about our program…
At Nurtured Oak, each session follows a gentle rhythm — a balance of songs, stories, art, and nature play that flow with the season and the children’s energy.
A Day in Our Nature Sessions: Each gathering follows a gentle rhythm that balances creativity, structure, and time to simply be.
🌞 Welcome & Circle
Children and caregivers are greeted with songs, greetings, and playful movement to begin our day with joy and connection.
📖 StorySeeds™ — The Heart of Our Sessions
Some days, we listen to an original StorySeeds™ tale — stories created by Marianna especially for our sessions, inspired by childhood curiosity, nature, and imagination.
Other days, we share picture books, seasonal tales, or familiar stories that invite children to notice the beauty and rhythm of the natural world. Each story becomes a seed of inspiration for the art, play, or experiences that follow.
🎨 Creative Invitations
Children explore process art, sensory play, or simple crafts inspired by the day’s story or season.
Activities are open-ended and designed for caregivers to enjoy alongside their child, or to step back and observe as creativity unfolds.
🍎 Snack & Rest Time
Families are encouraged to bring a small, healthy snack (minimal sugar, please) and water.
We take a short break mid-morning to nourish, rest, and connect before returning to play.
🌱 Nature Exploration & Play
Unhurried time outdoors for free play and discovery — building with natural materials, treasure-hunting, and following the wonder of the season.
💛 Closing Circle
We gather at the end with a short reflection, story, or song — a gentle way to close our time together with presence and calm.
Each session lasts two hours and is designed to be joyful, nature-rooted, and intentional — giving families space to slow down, connect, and celebrate the magic of childhood.
✨ Caregiver Role
Our sessions are not drop-off. Caregivers are warmly invited to join circle time, songs, and storytelling, while giving children space during art and nature play.
You don’t need to teach or lead — your presence, attention, and gentle support are what matter most.
