Hi, I’m Marianna—mama of two beautiful souls and the founder of Nurtured Oak Nature School.

This little school was born from a quiet hope in my heart: to create the kind of place I longed for as a parent. A space where children are truly seen, where they can be themselves—messy, curious, sensitive, wild—and know they belong. That hope became the seed for Nurtured Oak Nature School.

At Nurtured Oak, we believe children are capable, whole beings from the very beginning—not empty vessels to fill, but bright lights to nurture. We follow a child-led approach, trusting their natural curiosity and allowing their questions, play, and passions to guide our days. Rather than directing the path, we walk beside them as gentle guides—offering tools, emotional support, and thoughtful invitations that deepen their love of learning.

This isn’t a place for rushed academics or rigid structure. It’s a place for muddy feet, big feelings, wonder-filled moments, and deep connection. Our focus is on nurturing the whole child—heart, body, mind, and spirit—while creating a loving environment where every child feels safe, respected, and deeply known.

With a background in Early Childhood Education, years as a Montessori Guide, and certification as a Nature-Based Educator, I’ve spent over seven years walking alongside young children and their families. Still, it’s my own children who inspired this path—and continue to remind me every day what it means to slow down and listen deeply.
